Regina Vander
Contracted Clinician and Clinical Supervisor
LCSW
I joined A Healing Intention LLC. In September 2020. I am a therapist, I supervise other therapists working toward their clinical license, and I provide clinical consultation for complex cases. I graduated from Barry University School of Social Work with a focus in health over 25 years ago. I have devoted my career to assisting vulnerable populations navigate numerous complex systems: Government benefits and services, Medical systems, Community Services, etc.

As a practitioner, I have a Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused approach. I use a holistic approach to therapy with a combination of theoretical approaches. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is my underlying approach I apply to all my interventions. I partner with my clients in their journey towards being who they want to be in a life they believe is worth working toward, whatever that looks like for them.

I have a passion for working with vulnerable populations and individuals navigating life changes across the lifespan, including chronic illness, grief/bereavement, addictions, relationships, parenting, aging, caretaking, gender dysphoria/transgender care, and everything in-between! I sincerely believe that change and growth is possible and that there is no situation too great to be bettered and no unhappiness too great to be lessened. Connecting with people and being able to bear witness to their journeys while offering support, feedback, and information along the way is my absolute passion. I am honored and humbled when my clients allow me to partner with them on their individual journeys.
